Louis C.K. à Montréal pour 3 spectacles en octobre 2025

L’humoriste américain Louis C.K. sera de retour à Montréal pour trois spectacles en trois soirs, les 7, 8 et 9 octobre 2025 au Théâtre St-Denis.

Ces trois prestations au Québec pour Louis C.K. s’inscrivent dans une très grosse tournée de 85 dates intitulée Ridiculous Tour qui débutera dès le 31 mars prochain à Youngstown, en Ohio, et se conclura à la toute fin de l’année 2025, le 31 décembre.

Dans une infolettre envoyée à ses abonnés par courriel, l’artiste explique : « Je vais reprendre la route et y rester un bon moment. Après tout, je suis un humoriste professionnel. »

Plusieurs villes auront droit à deux ou trois spectacles consécutifs dans leur patelin, dont Vancouver, Winnipeg et Toronto.

Louis C.K. demeure l’une des figures controversées du milieu de l’humour américain. En 2017, le populaire humoriste avait été accusé d’inconduite sexuelle par plusieurs femmes, des collègues de travail. Il avait d’ailleurs admis sa culpabilité dans le New York Times, avouant avoir « exercé [son] pouvoir de manière irresponsable » en s’exposant devant des femmes avec qui il travaillait sur l’émission de télé Louie. L’ambiguité de ses excuses a toutefois donné lieu à un documentaire co-signé Cara Mones et Caroline Suh intitulé Sorry/Not Sorry, paru il y a quelques mois.

Les années suivantes ont été périlleuses : son manager Dave Becky, le service de streaming Netflix et la chaîne de télé FX ont tous rompu leurs liens avec l’humoriste, son film I Love You Daddy, qui abordait des sujets similaires, a été abandonné quelques semaines avant sa sortie prévue et une série animée qu’il avait co-créée avec Albert Brooks, intitulée The Cops, a été tablettée.

Louis C.K. a toutefois persévéré, au point même où il a remporté le prix Grammy dans la catégorie Best comedy album en 2022.

Sauf erreur, il s’agira du tout premier spectacle de Louis C.K. à Montréal depuis les dénonciations.
